on fox today, they was a report that congress may not be able to pass the latest 410B spending bill loaded w/ congressional piggies. nancy pelosi gave a deadline of tomorrow and if they can't get the votes, there will be no pet projects and the spending level will remain at last year's budget rates. and according to some reports she is not happy about it. it would definitely be a black eye on the democratic party steamroller running over economy. and would also tarnish obama and maybe his white house of cards may be starting to fall down around his big ears. let's hope we are starting to wake up and so have some of our congressional leaders.
in the movie my wife and i rented from netflix reservation road last night, there was a joke that went something like this:
"if pro is the opposite of con, progress is the opposite of?" and the audience says "CONGRESS"
